Term 2

Australian Football

Up there Cazaly!

Fridays after school from 20th April 2012- 8th June 2012

Year 7-12 girls from any GSV school can enter as a team in this home and away Australian Football competition.The competition is a great opportunity for girls to get involved in a 'contact' sport, especially one that is so much a part of Australian sporting culture! And if you develop a passion for the game on the field you can progress from this competition into the Women's Football League. So get a team together and 'Go Girls!'

Fencing

Five Saturday afternoon sessions time and venue to be confirmed

5th May - 2nd June, 2012

Fencing is a fun and energentic sport that incorporates agility and quick reflexes.

The sport also enhances fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Students develop their skills and get the chance to compete against each other in a mini competition at the final session.

Track Cycling

Five Monday afternoon sessions from 4.30pm - 6.00pm

Monday 6th August - 3rd September 2012 at Darebin International Sports Centre

Come and experience the thrill of track cycling at Australia's fastest velodrome! Learn from Nationally accredited coaches - no previous track cycling experience necessary.

Term 4

Introductory Diving Clinics

Four Monday afternoon sessions from 4.30pm - 6.30pm

15th October - 12th November 2012 (excludes Monday 5th November) at Methodist Ladies' College, enter via Fitzwilliam St (Mel 45 E8)

Develop fundamental diving skills, including basic board work, hurdle steps and competition dives! Learn from nationally accredited coaches from Diving Victoria. No previous diving experience necessary.
